How to Pan Roast Chicken Breast

Ingredients:

  • 3x chicken breasts (based on breast weighing aprox 330g each)

  • Olive oil

  • Salt

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180°C fan-forced.

Remove the chicken breasts from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature.

Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, ensuring all sides are coated. Sprinkle salt over the chicken breasts to season them.

Preheat a frying pan over medium-high heat, ensuring it is oven-safe and suitable for accommodating the chicken breasts.

Place the chicken breasts into the preheated pan, top side down, and cook over medium-high heat for approximately five minutes until they develop a golden brown color.

Carefully flip the chicken breasts so that the golden side is now facing up.

Transfer the pan, with the chicken breasts, to the preheated oven and cook for no longer than 10 minutes.

Remove the pan from the oven and cover the chicken breasts with foil. Allow them to cool until they reach a warm temperature.

Slice, shred, or store the chicken breasts whole in an airtight container, ensuring to pour all the pan juices over the chicken for added flavor.

The pan-roasted chicken breasts can be used in salads, sandwiches, pies, or other dishes throughout the week.

Store the chicken breasts in the refrigerator, where they will remain fresh for 4 to 5 days.
