Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the wasabi and soy sauce to make the marinade.
  2. Place the swordfish steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the swordfish is evenly coated. Let it marinate for 15 minutes, making sure it is well-covered with the mixture.
  3. Preheat your barbecue to high heat.
  4. Grill the marinated swordfish steaks for about 10 minutes, flipping them once. Cook until they are crispy on the outside but still tender on the inside. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the steaks and the heat of your grill.
  5. While the swordfish is grilling, heat a pan with peanut oil until very hot.
  6. Sauté the Gai Lan alongside the thinly sliced garlic cloves. Once they begin to become tender and slightly golden, add the 1/4 cup of water to the pan to create some steam. Continue to cook until the Gai Lan is tender and vibrant.
  7. Season the Gai Lan with salt and drizzle with a bit of sesame oil for added flavor.
  8. Serve the steaks with steamed rice, the garlicky gai laan and lemon wedges for squeezing.
